Solitude is necessary for any depth of meditation or of character; and in the presence of natural beauty is the cradle of great thought and aspirations.
Meditation and prayer give us a sense of belonging.
Today our world is constantly bombarded with unnatural sounds which preclude silence. Many in our culture today are afraid of silence.
The average person has 60,000 separate thoughts every day. This means there are almost no gaps. If you could reduce that number by half, you would open up a world of possibilities for yourself. You reconnect to your source and know the peacefulness of God whenever you become one with silence.
“Be still and know that I am God.”
Everything comes out of silence. Silence helps to recharge your battery, bring inner peace, remove tension and anxiety, bring a closeness to all humanity and God. Creativity increases and fatigue decreases through silence.
To know God is to become independent of others’ definition and description of God. You have your own personal knowing.
Take time out for silence in your life. Meditate daily. Sit quietly and become the observer of all the inner chatter of your mind. Eventually you will be able to move to the gaps between your thoughts. Take a few minutes in the morning and again in the evening to create the opportunity for you to experience inner peace, in a way you may have never known before.
There are many opportunities to access silence. Anytime you must stop somewhere for a few minutes.
When you truly at peace, it is always simple and easy to deflect the negative energies of those you encounter. A person cannot succeed in bringing you into their misery without your agreement. Your sense of peace will at the same time bring others into harmony with you. It has been proven that just being in the energy field of those who meditate raises the levels of serotonin(a substance produced in the body which encourages peaceful and harmonious feeling) in observers. The more you achieve peacefulness through meditation, the more your peaceful state impacts on those around you.
The main benefit of meditation however is your contact with a source of soothing energy that makes you feel deeply connected to God.
God is indivisible, omnipresent, everywhere and is the force that creates and sustains life. Our physical world is full of combinations, opposites, always divisible. Silence is the one indivisible experience. Therefore it is your one way to experience the oneness and the indivisibility of God.
Make being next to nature a regular part of your life routine. Take time to be alone and commune with God.
Relax and enjoy the serenity and inner peace that silence and meditation always bring.
